Kinda sad that everybody is using Textmod now.
Kinda funny that they still have problems fully revealing the map with it. :/

Help...
I watched the final cutscene 3 times and scraped the area. Still doesn't want to unfog.

Try 'fake moving' by spamming WASD during the cutscene. Also try pressing WASD and clicking Skip or pressing ESC during the cutscene. There's like a .5-1 second window in which you can control your character after you skip.

The 1600X1200 map direct me to a casino site
link of post number 2 on this thread.
currently 99.3% elona,
need to make sure this part of Turai's Procession map is NOT accessible (white outlined area)
need to know how much these challenge mission will give me .1%? (seriously bad at this mission, if its not necessary to uncover it 100%, i rather scrap other parts of the map)
Thanks everyone very much for any information at all.
PS: don't ask me to use texmod, thanks.
thinking out loud: Maybe i should try the watch Gandara''s cut scene thingy, since i have not watch that before.
THANK YOU SNOGGY AND BRETTM

First bit: Nope.
Second bit - well, mapping the entire mission gives ~1.8%, so I think it likely there's a whole .1% there. I hate that mission too, but I finally popped the last corner for 100%.
Congrats on cartographising the old-school way - not something I'd ever want to do again

If you do a good enough job elsewhere, you don't need to totally clear the challenge mission. I think I had less of it uncovered than you do when I hit 100%.

Remembering back, I think I had more problems with Nightfall cartography than any other chapter. I think it was that that finally spurred me into cheating with Texmod.
There, I've said it.

Ok I'm at 99.6% and my foreheads starting to hurt from scraping it on the rocks and smacking it on the desk. SOOO I was checking this thread for some ideas and everybody seems big on tex mod. I have no problems with it as a tool for finding those little bits I have left but have read alot of posts telling people they probably got hacked from a key logger in a tex mod or other program like it. So my question ( I understand you cant say 100% for sure) is this likely to be a problem or should I be 99.6% safe? Thanks for your input

Texmod has worked for many people and as far as I know none got hacked. Just be carefull where you download it from.
It's my experience that the same spots get missed over and over again and all those spots are well documented in this thread.
You can compare the pictures without the risk of installing a trojan

Hey guys,
It's great to see that my guides are still being used some 4 years since I originally posted them, and that the cartography legacy is still running strong. I figured they'd have been trampled into the dust long ago. So this is a most pleasant surprise. ^_^
It's been about 3 years since I last played, and I'm now back to finish off some of the stuff I hadn't done yet, as well as looking forward to things that have been released since I last played, I hadn't even entered the Eye of the North area, though I had bought it.
So if you see me in game, don't be shy, send me a hello! ^_^

1. The arrow above Consulate Docks points to the area of the arena. Talk to the arena guard near the consulate to get transported there.
2. The "circle" mentioned has already been cleared. The two arrows point to an area that can only be cleared by a native Nightfall character doing the tutorial right after the character is created. Non-Nightfall characters can't get there, and Nightfall characters can't ever go back after the tutorial is done or if the tutorial is skipped.

just a note to everyone using the textmod called "Elona Cartography made Easy" , it might miss spots. Its a great mod to reach 99 or 98% but use the older mod for the last few .x%, found here. It shows the fog of areas missed more clearly in a highlight green color.

This post is the best post I've ever seen here. Sorry for bumping an old topic but after getting nuts with the cartographer made easy tpf I used this green fog map and got my last few % in a matter of 10 minutes. Thanks for the great tip......

The newer Complete Collection tpf for Cartography Made Easy covers the entire game in one tpf file and adds a number of new areas on each continent. You shouldn't be using the individual tpfs for Tyria, Cantha, and Elona these days. You won't have any problem making 100% using the Complete Collection.
